Your anchor on the stormy seas of German learning.™

How can we use an 'Adventskalender' for German learning?

Using an Adventskalender is great for German learning because it forms a meaningful practice, just as joyful anticipation can for those who use an Adventskalender as a religious practice. You have 24 or 25 short exercises and you get to focus on one thing all month long.

And if you're not religious, then it's simply "25 days of ______." And that works really well, too, to see how you do with trying something for 25 days. Ask my clients--they do this every year, whether they are religious or not, whether they celebrate Christmas or not.

N.B. While the GermanWithNicole.com Podcast no longer exists, you can still hear all of the audios here on the blog. The audios are available on the blog posts published between August 1, 2021 and October 1, 2024. Viel Spaß beim Hören!
