Neun interessante Vokabeln aus dem Kurs B1+
Gestern Abend im Kurs B1+ sind wir auf sehr interessante Vokabeln gestoßen. Was für Sie besonders interessant ist, ist, dass diese Vokabeln in Lehrbüchern nur sehr selten vorkommen. Also diese Vokabeln sind ganz normale Wörter, die man im Alltag lernt.
der Zuckerersatz = artificial sugar
das Süßungsmittel = sweetener
der Meinungsmacher = an opinion-maker, e.g. a certain newspaper in Germany is a Meinungsmacher because it has a lot of influence on its readers
raten = to guess
jemandem zur Verfügung stehen [feste Verbindung] = to be available to someone, to be at someone's disposal
der Gedankenblitz = a flash of insight
der Vorteil = advantage // der Nachteil = disadvantage
von Vorteil sein [Kollokation] = to be an advantage
Selbstmord begehen [Kollokation] = to commit suicide

Yesterday evening in the B1+ class we came across a lot of really interesting vocabulary words. What's most interesting for you, is that these vocabulary words don't appear in a lot of course books. These vocabulary words are all totally normal words you'd learn in everyday life.
