I almost forgot! Here I was going to dive into the next blog post series on understanding the different levels of German learning (A1, A2, B1, etc.) and then it hit me--I forgot to tell you what's new this year!
Three good things!
New Thing #1: Sprechseminare - Speaking Seminars
This year I'm introducing Sprechseminare or Speaking Seminars to help you get the speaking practice you need. I have run one pilot seminar and have begun gathering ideas. In the Sprechseminare you can plan on practicing:
- only one topic per session
- in a small group format and it will be changed up with partner work (in break-out rooms)
- loads of speaking
The Sprechseminare have not yet officially begun, so be sure to read more about them on the Sprechseminare page and sign up for that mailing list. (And if you don't know your CEFR level yet, that's OK, that will be my next blog post series and you'll be able to figure out your level! Stay tuned to this blog and sign up for blog posts on the right.)
New Thing #2: German Diction Coachings!
For anyone who sings German music or sings in a choir that performs German music, this is for you! I've just introduced German Diction Coachings both in live coaching sessions and email coachings. These are very reasonable, a 30-minute coaching on your German pronunciation alone for $26 currently. If we can't meet live, then simply submit your recording via this page here and I'll send you a coaching summary via email.
Das ist so einfach!
Be sure to read the German Diction Coaching page so you find out about my 20+ years of singing experience and read what other singers have learned in their sessions.
New Thing #3: Book Club! Buchgemeinschaft!
The pilot program for this book club is running now and everyone is *so* excited. Sie freuen sich so sehr! The first book we're using is an A1 level book with a fun adventure story and loads of Landeskunde (applied geography). The format for the book club is like this:
