Secure browsing is becoming more and more important every day. Now you can browse securely here at GermanWithNicole.com!
This morning I had secure browsing added to my website so you can browse securely and privately. You shouldn't notice anything different while reading the site, but you will notice a difference in the URL bar. When you visit this site, you should see https:// show up in the URL bar. It should now look like this (highlighted for emphasis):
For blog readers, this means that your connection is secure and other people can't see what you're reading. For anyone who registers for a class through the website, your information is safer. For clients, that means your logins and passwords are secure and your browsing is secure.
Es geht sie nichts an.
jemanden nichts angehen means it's none of their business. So when I say "Es geht sie nichts an," I mean it's no one else's business what you read on this site. It's not of their concern. It's no one else's business what you write to me, what questions you ask, or what you'd like to know.
Some people might say "But it's just German, what does it matter?" Well, it matters to me. To me, it's a principle. Your business is your business, and if your business is German, great! But that creep who's stealing your Wi-Fi or your neighbor who hacked it just 'cuz he can...to them I say "None ya business!"
Aber es geht Google etwas an.
Having a secure connection to a website is now and has been a factor for Google search rankings for a while, so because it is Google's concern whether my site is secure or not, I'm glad to have a secure site. I'd be pleased as punch to have even higher search engine rankings so evey more folks like you can learn German, find resources, and have viel Spaß learning German!
So what're you waiting for?!
Viel Spaß beim privaten Surfen!
